History
The Hungarian Society for Separation Sciences launched an international series of symposia in 1997, the Balaton Symposium on High-Performance Separation Methods, which is the successor of the “Balaton Conference on High-Performance Separation Techniques” organized by the Chromatography Group of the Hungarian Chemical Society.
The Balaton Symposium has been organized in every odd year and it has grown to one of the most important European separation science events.
